About RAON Tools

What RAON Tools does

The audio workspace converts common formats, creates smaller MP3 copies, trims recordings, and adjusts volume. The image workspace converts HEIC, JPG, PNG, and WebP files, compresses images, and changes pixel dimensions without cropping. Up to ten files can be selected for supported batch workflows.

Processing is designed to run in the browser. Selected files are not intentionally sent to a RAON Tools conversion server. This keeps the workflow simple and reduces unnecessary uploads, while also making performance dependent on the user's device and browser.

What has been checked

1. Downloadable sources. The conversion examples use a self-created synthetic audio signal and a technical image, not a customer's recording or photograph.
2. Recorded browser checks. The examples report exported byte sizes, decoded audio duration and channels, and image dimensions from an automated browser run.
3. Reproducible outputs. Source and result files, settings, test date, and browser version are available on the conversion examples page.
4. Limited scope. Those checks are not subjective listening tests, independent certification, or proof of support on every device and codec.

Browser updates, codecs, and device memory can affect results. Keep your source and inspect the exported file before deleting anything. Calculated size estimates in the guides are labeled separately from measurements of downloaded files.

Who writes the guides

RAON STUDIO publishes these guides alongside the tools. Publisher labels and update dates identify the site and document revision; they do not imply an independent expert review or personal listening test. Suggestions are starting points, not guarantees for every recording or image.

RAON Tools does not claim that one format or setting is best for every person. The goal is to show the tradeoffs clearly: quality versus file size, compatibility versus editability, and convenience versus the limits of local browser processing.
